LANCELOT HOUSE – KCC REG. 9MPE. KCC “PREFERRED PROVIDER”
TOP AWARDS FOR QUALITY “SSSS” AND PRICE “££££”
LANCELOT HOUSE was opened by Mrs B. M. K. Ing , S.E.N. in 1966, managed by Mrs Noreen Ing, BTEC HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN SOCIAL CARE. This Home is the neighbour to Arthur Court, offering a passenger lift for the less mobile residents. This Home is for people over 65 years old who are suffering a variety of Mental Health problems, some of whom also have associated age problems such as dementia or incontinence. This is a lively, happy Home in a secure environment, that works hard to maintain our resident’s dignity, but offers a more structured kind of care that is needed when dealing with people who can get confused . The daily routine includes lots of cup of teas and chats, keep-fit, individual shopping trips, parties, sometimes inviting the other Homes, and visiting singers. The staff actively encourage the residents to participate in the daily life and help maintain their daily living skills.
